Things to Remember Before Rooting
- Make sure your device is charged at least 70%.
- You must unlock the bootloader of your device to do this. Go to HTC Website to do so.
- Rooting will void your device's warranty.
- Download HTC Sync and install it on your PC.

How to Root the HTC Explorer
- Install HTC Sync which you've downloaded. (Ignore if already installed)
- Place both the downloaded files on your desktop and un-zip the Recovery Image file.
- Turn off your device, and get into bootloader mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power button.
- Choose fastboot option from the bootloader.
- Connect your device to your PC through USB Cable.
- Double click the recovery.bat file which you've extracted.
- When the Recovery is loaded, reboot it.
- Connect your phone to your PC, and paste the SuperSu Zip file in the SD Card.
- Again turn off your device and get into bootloader mode via pressing and holding Volume Down + Power button together.
- Choose Recovery option in bootloader.
- In Recovery mode, choose install zip from SD Card and choose the Super User Zip file.
- After its completed, reboot your phone, and your phone is successfully rooted now.
If you want to check that your phone is rooted or not, then go to menu and find SuperSu app, if you find it, then your device is successfully rooted.
